At ChipsAway Stoke on Trent, we are dedicated to supporting the local community. As a family run and family owned business, we wanted to find a cause to support that would honour our values, as well as being local.

When we came across Alice Charity, we were amazed by the work and support they offer to local families within Stoke on Trent and Newcastle Under Lyme. We knew that this would soon become a charity close to our hearts.

Latest statistics state that 17% of all children living in Newcastle-Under-Lyme and 25% of all children living in Stoke-On-Trent reside in low income families. Truly shocking statistics we are sure you will agree.

Over the last 18 months, we have volunteered as much time and resource as we have been able to, to help the Alice Charity team raise much needed funds to keep up their work in the local community. We have joined in with their fundraising, hosted our own events and sponsored the charity to raise its profile as much as possible.

It is widely acknowledged that a childhood spent in poverty adversely impacts education, occupation, income and ill health. Alice Charity’s vision is to help these vulnerable families by providing an accessible service ensuring those most in need build confidence, take control and find purpose.

Not everyone’s family is as fortunate as ours or yours, Alice Charity transform families and empower those who need it most, is a passion that we share with them. We will continue to support Alice Charity so please keep your eyes peeled for upcoming events and activities.
